I am a painter and printmaker and an enthusiastic traveller, and my work has several threads.
For many years, I was a portrait painter, mainly of humans, but also of their canine companions and still happily take on the occasional commission.
Then I lived in the Middle East for 8 years, and travelled widely from there, always carrying my sketchbook. Much of my work now is based on the amazing people and places I encountered on these journeys.
Now I am based in Brighton and have the glorious English countryside as a constant muse.
I am not a conceptual artist. I paint what I see and feel..
The real world in front of me is an endless inspiration and challenge.
